Jane's Community Blog ( Blog Home )

Welcome to JaneHyun.com
I am pleased to launch my new website and on-line community as a way to keep in touch with all the people I have met through my travels and speaking engagements!

Since the release of Breaking the Bamboo Ceiling in May 2005, I have heard many compelling stories of how you’ve achieved cultural fluency, are combating stereotypes, and are beginning to transform your workplaces with your courage and personal convictions. I am grateful to have been part of your experiences and I would like this on-line community to serve as another place at which to share our stories and mentor each other in the process!

You can find out more about my event schedule, testimonials and the latest media coverage on the my book, Breaking the Bamboo Ceiling. With the paperback release of the book this month, I will be traveling on another mini “tour” throughout the U.S. (including Tulsa Oklahoma) and Asia. I may be coming to a location near you; please do let me know how you are doing, and perhaps I will see you when I come to your local conference/employer!

And I would love to hear from you. Please sign-up for my on-line community to receive my regular “News” where I will share insights into leadership, workplace diversity, and career mobility topics. Stay tuned for future book ideas.

Warm regards,
Jane Hyun

Jane,

Great website!!! You provided a great deal of aspiration for our Business Partnering Group to succeed. Your presentation,in February, provided thought starters, inspiration and motivation to change things. It's been a pleasure meeting, working with you and discussing Asian/Asian Amercian cultural stereotypes that sometimes prevents the "model minority," in succeeding in a corporate environment. You have brought me back to my roots.
Thanks............Teddy

It was great to hear your presentation last year and also to get a copy of your book. I am a male from middle esatern origin. I encountered so many discrimination issues cannot be discussed in public. The challenge I face with many middle eastern friends is the current climate! That might be similar to Asians went through during the war with Japan. Your book is a stepping stone and inspiration for me to overcome some of these challenges that are in my control.

Hi Jane

Many may ask why on earth would someone not of that ethnicity want to read your book... I would have to smirk, and say sometimes its not about bieng that ethnicity, but more so insider comprehension and the ability to meet them half way! I am hoping this will help me communicate because i found a lot of me in this book so far! Also i can use this to see what i have in common with others instead of only our differences! I am willing to bet this site will offer even more...

thanks soo much Jane!you spoke my mind
