I’m pleased to share my recent conversation with Bill Sherman on the Leveraging Thought Leadership podcast.

  • On August 19, 2025

After reviewing thousands of leadership assessments and working closely with teams across industries, I’ve seen that strong teams aren’t built simply because we say we want them. And cross-cultural capability doesn’t develop through osmosis or good intentions alone. It requires deep grounding and the ability to communicate in ways that others truly understand—to shift perspectives and approaches when needed.

In this interview, I talk about how I came to focus on cultural fluency in leadership, and share a story about how the term bamboo ceiling first came about during my time coaching business school students in the U.S.

Whether you’re preparing for your next leadership chapter or looking to lead with more depth today, I hope this conversation offers insight into why this work matters to me. And I invite you to join us in a future program/workshop or coaching initiative!

Thanks, Bill for the stimulating dialogue! 🙏
